
Updated Nov. 15: Law enforcement officials have a person of interest and have impounded a vehicle following their investigation into a possible felony hit-and-run between Springdale and Ford on Nov. 13.
The Washington State Patrol has not released the name of the suspect because of the sensitivity of the ongoing investigation.
Springdale's Evonna Hyde, 20, who was walking to a friend’s home at around 7 p.m. on State Highway 231, when she was struck by an SUV (or pickup truck). The victim was carrying a flashlight, but investigators do not know if she was walking alongside the roadway or crossing the highway.
Investigators collected pieces of the vehicle at the scene. They believe the vehicle is green.
