All animals seized from Elk farm have new homes

SCRAPS workers give some caring attention to a llama seized from a farm in Elk last week.

Most of the more than 100 animals seized from a farm in Elk last week by Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service (SCRAPS) have found new homes.
“It has been a long week for SCRAPS but we think we see a light at the end of the tunnel,” said SCRAPS Development Coordinator Jackie Bell. “Our community has been so unbelievably supportive of SCRAPS by donating time, money, supplies and now adopting these animals,” she continued.
SCRAPS has adopted all of the animals from this seizure.
“We have received many donations and letters of support and encouragement, but due to the extensive amount of veterinary care, and the size of the seizure, SCRAPS still needs community donations,” Bell said.
