It’s all over but the shouting or, in the case of Eric Keller, the celebrating.
Keller, an incumbent Deer Park School Board member, had been in tight race with challenger Marie Layman since the first round of general election voting tabulations on Nov. 8.
The election was certified on Nov. 29 by the Spokane, Stevens and Pend Oreille County Election offices with Keller named the winner 1,395-1,351despite Layman’s strong showing in Spokane County.
Layman outpolled Keller 1,016-950 in Spokane County but Keller made up the difference with a 440-328 showing in Stevens County. Layman won Pend Oreille County by a 7-5 margin.
Keller and fellow Deer Park School Board winners, Cari Breckner and Jeff Whittle, will be sworn into office on Dec. 12.
