Spokane County Fire District No. 4 voters have agreed to a 20-year bond plan that will upgrade some district facilities and equipment.
The $14 million measure was on its way to approval by a 4,516-2,422 margin in the Aug. 5 primary election. The 65 percent approval rating was easily above the 60 percent needed for passage.
Among the fire district bond issue plans is to improve the 30-year-old Station 41 in Deer Park that has outgrown its present space considerations and to upgrade a large portion of the fire district’s front line response apparatus.
