William J. Blatt, 79

A celebration of life was held on Nov. 18 at the Marysville (Wash.) Free Methodist Church for former Springdale resident William "Bill" J. Blatt, 79, who passed away on Nov. 9.
Born on Oct. 3, 1932, in Springdale to Charles and Mae Blatt, he worked for Western Electric for 22 years and GTE for 15 years before retiring in 1993.
He was preceded in death by a son, Frederick C. Blatt; and a granddaughter, Heather Heimbigner.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Blatt, at the Arlington, Wash., home; six children, Bonnie (Dick) Kerr and Rick Blatt, both of Lynnwood, Wash., Kay (Glen) Thomsen of Everett, Wash., Michael Heimbigner and Karen Morton, both of Vancouver, Wash., and Mark (Christine) Heimbigner of Cle Elum, Wash.; one sister, Ida (Dan) Edmonds of Valley; and numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Burial will follow in Springdale at a later date.
Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, Marysville, was in charge of arrangements.
