A mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. June 7 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, E545 Providence in Spokane, for Wayside/Half Moon Prairie resident Parma Sicilia, 94, who died on April 28.

Born March 21, 1914, to Carmen and Mary (Gerafalo) Cerenzia, in the Wayside/Half Moon Prairie area, she attended the Montford School (present site of Wayside Community Center). She later married James Sicilia and the couple moved to Spokane.

She worked at Gonzaga Prep and the old Roma Inn. Mrs. Sicilia returned to the Wayside/Half Moon area in 2002.

Her husband, James; one son, Joe; and four brothers, Phil, Paul, Dominic and Joe, all predeceased her.
She is survived by one son, Jim Sicilia; one daughter, Gerri Whittle; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Inurnment will follow the mass at Holy Cross Cemetery in Spokane.

Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home, Spokane, will be in charge of arrangements.
