Deer Park fugitive wanted by police

Secret Witness is offering a cash reward for information that results in the capture of a 46-year-old Deer Park man wanted for escape from community custody.   

Raymond A. Godsey was on probation for a drug possession conviction when he absconded.  His failure to comply falls on the heels of eight previous arrests for probation violations.  

Godsey’s last known address was on Fifth Street in Deer Park.

Godsey’s criminal record dates back at least as far as Christmas Eve in 1983, and includes convictions for resisting arrest, obstruction of police investigation, failure to obey, providing false statements, third-degree assault on law enforcement and attempting to Elude a police vehicle.

His property offenses include felony convictions for theft, possession of stolen property and burglary.  He has been convicted of possession of controlled substance, delivery of controlled substance and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

He has convictions for violations of court orders, harassment, DV assault, criminal trespass, reckless driving and driving on suspended or invalid operator’s licenses.  He even has been convicted of anonymous/repetitive phone calls.

Classified as a repeat offender, Godsey is 6-feet-tall and weighs 200 pounds.  He has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Persons with information regarding his whereabouts should call the Secret Witness Tip Line at 327-5111.  Callers do not have to give their name to collect the cash reward, but should leave a code name or number with the operator.
