A 39-year-old Valley woman, who walked away from her sister's home on Nov. 6, was found almost 48 hours later by Stevens County Search and Rescue Post No. 920 in a field near Bulldog Road.

Shina Lockheart (Dempsey) Davis, who recently moved to Valley from Spokane, left her sister's home at about 6:15 p.m. to walk two miles to a Valley store, but never returned.

Stevens County Sheriff’s deputies, and detectives searched the area extensively during the two days that Davis was missing.

Davis, who was in poor health prior to her disappearance, was treated at the scene by emergency personnel before being transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chewelah. She was later released.
