No services were held for Chattaroy resident Susanne I. (Stout) Thomasson, 73, who died March 11.
Born July 9, 1933, to Wesley and Irene Stout in Portland, Ore., she moved with her family to Spokane in 1941 and graduated from Lewis and Clark High School, where she was a Ty Girl and active in the Thespian Club. She later attended the University of Washington where she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She later worked as a fashion consultant for the Crescent in Spokane and later for Vogue of New York and as a fashion coordinator for Koret of California. After marrying David Thommason, the couple moved to Dearborn, Mich. Mrs. Thomasson worked as an Avon consultant and ran a silk flower arrangement business. Upon her husband’s retirement, they moved back to the Spokane area and to Chattaroy in 1997. She is survived by her husband, David, at the home; two sons, Scot and Robert Thomasson; one daughter, Kay Metz; one sister, Kathryn Gray; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Heritage Funeral Home, Spokane, was in charge of arrangements. |
