Fire crews from Spokane County Fire District No. 4 Stations 41, 45 and 46 spent Thursday morning putting out a smoldering fire at a home at 2417 Sandpiper Road in Deer Park, A preliminary investigation centered around the kitchen area. No one was home at the time the fire was reported.
