Inland Asphalt paving crews will be out in force next week in Deer Park.

It’s going to a be a hectic time for motorists trying to get around Deer Park next week.

Inland Asphalt, which is in the midst of grinding up various side streets as part of the city’s street preservation project, will begin paving those streets on Monday along with a section of south Main Street funded through a state grant.

And at the same time, Inland Asphalt crews will begin work on the state-funded East Crawford restoration project.

The crews will grind off 3 inches on East Crawford from Forest Avenue to Main Street. Once the grinding is completed, the company will then repave the roadway.

The contract allows the company a month to complete the grinding and repaving of Crawford, but city officials estimate the project to take about two weeks.
