Thieves strike GreenHouse's thrift store

May 16, 2013

Thieves broke the lock on the back door of the GreenHouse Community Center thrift store.

Thieves broke into the GreenHouse Community Center thrift store at N31 Main St. in Deer Park early Thursday morning at took a small floor safe containing more than $250.
It appears the thieves, after disabling the outside security camera, forced open the back door and headed for the safe, which would have taken more than one person to carry.
They also ransacked a portion of the store but nothing else appeared to have been stolen.
The store opened for business at its normal hour on Thursday.
