Tamatha Christine Cummings was born in Enid, Okla., and moved with her family to Washington in June of 1973. She graduated from Mary Walker High School and married Jamie Cummings a year later. They built a home and a family right outside of Springdale.
She is survived by her parents, Grady and Cyndi Johnson; a sister, Kim Johnson and her sons, Dylan and Kevin Smith; her husband, Jamie Cummings; her children, Jerika Cummings, Kyle Cummings and Cody Pardun; brother-in-law, Hoss Cummings, his wife, Chere Cummings and their sons, Wade and Grant Cummings; and several other family members.
She is predeceased by her grandparents, Paul and Pearl Henry and Grady and Betty Johnson; her mother-in-law, Lonnie Anderson; and her father-in-law, Gary Cummings.
She worked as a nurse and manager at the Chewelah Community Health Center. She loved caring for people and her patients meant so much to her.
She was a beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She passed from this world the morning of Friday, April 6, 2012.
A funeral service will be held at the Springdale Community Church on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at 1 p.m. A luncheon will follow at the Springdale Grange for friends and family.
