Shawn R. Egle, 53

Shawn Roberts Egle passed away on July 26, 2012, in Littleton, Colo., at Porter House Hospice Center.
She was born on Dec. 8, 1958, in Seattle to Ron and Vicki Roberts. The family moved to Spokane in 1960 and to Deer Park in 1967.
Shawn graduated from Deer Park High School in 1977. She loved representing DPHS in her first love, gymnastics, in state competition four years in a row. She also did the same thing in track.
Earning gymnastics scholarships, she went to Spokane Community College and Washington State University, then back to SCC for a degree as a cardiopulmonary technician.
She was employed at Stanford University Hospital, University of Denver Hospital and Children’s Hospital in Denver for a total of 28 years. She was highly respected and published in several publications,
Shawn’s beauty was inside and out. She was a very vibrant and caring person.
Shawn’s last time was spent with all her family and friends. One of her last desires was to be with her 35-year class Deer Park High School class reunion, but was unable to attend.
She is survived by her husband, Tom (24-7 caregiver), two sons, Derek Milton and Greg Popylisen; her parents, Ron and Vicki Roberts; one brother, Steve Roberts; and one sister, Rhona Roberts.
