Search on for Wallgreens robbery suspect

September 19, 2012

Sheriff's detectives are looking for a suspect who robbed Wallgreens on Sept. 9.

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information concerning a robbery at Wallgreens at N12315 Division on Sept. 9.
Deputy T. Liljenberg responded to the store, where he spoke with store employees who told him that at about 10 a.m., a white male entered the store and asked if he could borrow a cigarette from any of the employees. Employees told the individual they did not smoke.
Later, the employees watched him as he walked through the store. One of the employees caught the suspect putting cold medicine and vitamins inside his pockets near the rear of the store. The suspect saw the employee and ran towards the business’ front door.
Another female employee was waiting at the front door and told the suspect to stop. The suspect pushed the employee as she attempted to detain him. The suspect pulled the employee out of the store and fled on foot.
The employees said the male was between 18-20 years old, between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot tall and weighed between 130-140 pounds.
Detectives are asking for assistance in identifying the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Keyser at 509-477-6611.
