Sarah Krieger, 93

Sarah “Suzie” Krieger of Deer Park, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday Feb. 10, 2013, at the Adagio Family Home in Everett, Wash., at the age of 93.
She was born on April 12, 1919, in Plentywood, Mont., the daughter of Hans and Grace Hardersen. She was raised in Montana and Seattle and graduated from Bothell High School in Bothell, Wash.
She married Max Krieger on Feb, 22, 1942, and resided in the Seattle area until they moved to Deer Park in 1953. They bought the Pines Motel and ran it for 15 years before finally moving to the big house on the corner of Fifth and Main in Deer Park.
She worked at various places during her career and retired from the Department of Health and Social Services in Spokane.
Max and Susie enjoyed league bowling, they were members of the Deer Park Eagles. They were members of the El Dorado Camper Club where they enjoyed joining the club on many camping adventures.
Max passed in February 1989 and since that time Suzie divided her time between wintering in Apache Junction, Ariz., and Washington State, visiting her family on both sides of the Cascades.
She spent many hours sitting in her favorite lawn chair watching her grandchildren at various sporting events. She enjoyed a good card game of Bridge, and she loved to put on her dancing shoes and go out with her friends.
Suzie is survived by her sister, Helen Vickers of Arlington, Wash.; daughters Maxine Cook of Covington, Wash., and Susan Tebrink of Renton, Wash.; a son, Roger Krieger of Deer Park; six grandchildren and; five great grandchildren.
Internment will be at Enumclaw Commentary, Enumclaw, Wash.
