Rose G. Gilbert, 95

August 7, 2012

Rose G. Gilbert, 95, was born in Saskatchewan, Canada, and moved to Deer Park in 1958. She was a devout member of the Eagles and Church of the Wildwood since 1999.
Rose was a wonderful member and friend to many people. Her many interests included quilt making, crocheting for disabled veterans, grandchildren, family and many friends. No matter the craft Rose enjoyed them as well as special knick-knacks.
Rose will be greatly missed but her beautiful hand-crafted gifts will be long enjoyed.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Tom; and a son, Bill, 69.
She is survived by her son, Bob; and daughter, Janet and her beloved husband Dennis of Deer Park, 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 39 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service was held on Aug. 5, 2012 at the Church of the Wildwood, 5810 W. Dahl Road, Deer Park.
Rose’s favorite baloney sandwich and summer potluck will follow the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Church of the Wildwood in her name.
