Robert L. Creech, 75

A funeral mass will be 11 a.m. on July 16 at St. Mary’s Presentation Catholic Church, E602 Sixth St., Deer Park, for local resident Robert L. Creech, 75, who passed away on May 7, 2013, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The mass will be followed by burial at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Deer Park and a memorial ceremony and luncheon at the Deer Park Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 3067 post home, E29 First St.
Born on Jan. 25, 1938, in Tulsa, Okla., Mr. Creech served in the Navy for two years and was a retired carpenter with the Clark County Housing Authority in Las Vegas and was a licensed cosmetologist.
Mr. Creech, who lived in the area on-and-off since 1975, was a former grand knight with the Knights of Columbus in Las Vegas. He was also a member of St. Mary’s Presentation Catholic Church, Deer Park Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3067 and Deer Park Eagles Aerie No. 3564.
An avid golfer, he loved to teach as well as play the game. He accomplished a hole-in-one two years ago at Antler Springs Golf Course in Chattaroy.
He is survived by his wife; Jeri; a brother, David; a sister, Norma; three grandchildren, Brooke and Britney Kinneson and Andrew Tomczak; and numerous Godchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked for a mass to be said for repose of a soul.
