Raymond E. Turner, 75

Raymond E. Turner, age 75, passed away on Dec. 25, 2013, in Chattaroy.
He was born on March 31, 1938, to Harland and Betty Turner in Tonasket, Wash. Ray married Arla Jean Larson on April 22, 1982. They made their home in Chattaroy with their daughter Mindy Longwill.
Ray was an ambitious, fun, loving man! He worked as an electrical engineer for most of his professional career and had been involved in many projects over the years including the original Seattle King Dome.
When he was able to he loved to go camping, fishing, hunting, and mostly "have a beer" with his friends.
He is survived by his children, Mindy Longwill, Tami Hicks and Todd Turner; and two brothers, Rosco and Vern Turner.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Arla, in 1996.
We would like all those who knew Ray to please gather on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014 from 2-5 p.m. at the Elk Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, N39716 Camden Road, Extension Road, to celebrate and remember.
Cremation will be entrusted to Lauer Funeral Home in Deer Park,
