Ramona Cline, 97

Ramona Cline, 97, a very, very longtime resident of the Twin Mountain/Williams Valley area of Deer Park entered into rest on Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, due to a fall and broken hip on her 97th birthday.
She was born on Aug. 2, 1914, at Freeport, Kan., to Royal and Bertha Russell.
Ramona is the dear mother of Arthur L. Cline of Fort Mead, Fla., Connie (Don) Conner of Clayton and a foster daughter, Jo Ellen Morigeau in Montana and a son-in-law, Albert Hettinger of Usk, Wash. She enjoyed seven grandchildren, Rick, Jo and Tom Conner, Rhonda Hoover, Sue Erickson, Randy Hettinger and Roxanne Whitecotton; 13 great-grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan, Chantel, Joshua, Caitlin, Jeremy, Michael, Derek, Dylan, Justin, Kevin, Hanna and Makayla; and a great-great-granddaughter, Emily Sue.
Her husband, Richard Cline, passed away in 1982. She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Frances and Roberta (infant); her parents, Royal and Bertha Russell; her brothers, Charles, Vernon, John, Leroy, Lee, Robert and Leonard; and sisters, Edyth and Mary.
Ramona was a member of the United Methodist Church in Deer Park and was an avid bowler, loved to play pinochle and bingo and watch those “Lousy Mariners.”
She also did crochet work, made quilts and had many other activities including the Homemakers’ Club and Knitting Club.
A funeral service honoring Mrs. Cline will be in Deer Park at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 12, 2011, at the United Methodist Church with Pastor Sue Robinson officiating.
Interment will follow the church reception at Woodland Cemetery in Deer Park.
Ramona’s family suggests memorial contributions to the Union Gospel Mission or a charity of the donor’s choice.
Funeral home visitation will be on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, from 3-6 p.m.
As Ramona always said, “Hug Your Family” for she was a real “Hugger.”
