The Deer Park softball team, after spotting Pullman a pair of first inning runs, quickly regrouped to score a 10-2 Great Northern League win on Tuesday.
The Lady Stags quickly tied the game with two runs of their own in the first inning and took the lead for good in the third on a double by catcher Carlie Durgeloh and an RBI single by pitcher Kylie Sweeney.
Deer Park (6-5 in GNL play) put the game away in the fourth. After Greyhound pitcher Miranda Davidson walked the bases loaded, third baseman Morgan Erwin delivered a sacrifice fly and shortstop Siera English belted a three-run homer that hugged the leftfield foul line.
English later contributed an RBI double in the fifth inning and a run-scoring single in the sixth frame.
Staked to a big lead, Sweeney, who struck out nine in the game, held the Greyhounds (2-10) to one hit over the final three innings.
