Otto D. Hartman, 84

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on March 29 at the Spokane Central Seventh-day Adventist Church for former Deer Park City Councilman Otto D. Hartman, 84, who passed away on March 23, 2012, in Davenport.
Born on April 19, 1927, in Trenton, N.J. to Richard and Katherin Hartman, he served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and was deployed to Tinian Island and then to The Philippines.
He was a pilot and his passion for flying remained until the end. He owned and operated "Otto's Aircraft Painting" in Deer Park for several years before retiring to Seven Bays.
He served on the Deer Park City Council from Sept. 26, 1983-Dec. 18, 1985.
Mr. Hartman enjoyed boating, fishing, hiking and golfing with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Hartman of New Jersey.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; one son, Otto D. Hartman Jr.; three daughters, Patricia (Larry) DiCioccio, Cathy Hartman and Diane Slattery; two stepsons, Randy (Sally) Murphy and Duane Murphy; one stepdaughter, Darci Gustafson; five grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandsons; and several stepgreat-grandchildren.
Heritage Funeral Home, Spokane, will be in charge of arrangements.
