No slowing down Deer Park's Eicher

Trevor Eicher has won four prestigious tournaments since the end of the prep wrestling season.

Deer Park High School sophomore Trevor Eicher, who steam rolled the 182-pound competition in winning the state Class 2A title at Mat Classic XXVI in February, has not slowed down this spring.
Eicher has won four more titles in the past two months, including the prestigious Reno Worlds last week.
In March, Eicher, representing the Deer Park Ironman Wrestling Club, won the 195-pound junior title at the Twin City-3 Styles Greco Tournament in Chellis, Wash. He dispatched his four opponents by a combined 42-6 score.
The following day he won the Twin City-3 Styles Freestyle Tournament with a pin and a pair of technical fall wins in the 195-pound division.
Eicher won the March 30 Northwest Cadet Freestyle Tournament at Battle Ground, Wash., with five wins in the 182-pound division, including a first period pin of Benton City’s Cruz Del Angel in the championship match. Del Angel was a three-time state Class A champion.
Eicher, wrestling unattached, took the 200-pound Reno Worlds title with five straight wins (four pins and a technical fall), including a first period victory over Hollister, Calif.’s Antonio Andrade in the title match.
