Missing Deer Park man found in Spokane

A 55-year-old Deer Park man, who had been missing for about a week, was reunited with his family.
Orin Storrud, a U.S. Army veteran with mental health issues, was reported missing by his sister, Mona Storrud, after she returned home from her granddaughter’s school on April 23. He was found in a homeless shelter in Spokane four days later.
Mona Storrud said she received reports that her brother had traveled to Missoula, Mon., before returning to Spokane.
It is not the first time Storrud has disappeared. She told the Missoulan that her brother disappeared for two days just before Christmas. He was later found at Spokane’s House of Charity.
Storrud had not seen her brother for 14 years before he turned up hungry and penniless at a St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson, Mont., last fall. Hospital workers there reunited the pair after it was discovered that Mona Storrud was living in Deer Park.
Mona Storrud told the newspaper that her brother suffers from schizophrenia and that his medication wasn't helping much.
