March 26, 2014

Lorraine Amaryllis Ball, 84 years of life and beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend, went home to be with the Lord on March 16, 2014.
She was born in Spokane in 1930. She was a longtime resident of Clayton, who graduated from Deer Park High School in 1948.
She and her husband, Donald Ball, owned and operated the Clayton Drive In (home of the Clayton Burger) and a dairy farm for many years.
Lorraine had a loving spirit and a gentle soul. She was a member of the Church In The Wildwood, Williams Valley Grange, Gideon's Auxiliary and Clayton Historical Society among other things.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Donald Ball; her daughter, Karen Adams; a son, Steven and wife Diane Ball; her youngest daughter, Elaine Ball; two grandchildren, Cory Adams and Nikole Ball; and her sister, Luella Dow.
A memorial service will be held on March 29, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Open Door Congregational Church, 205 N. Main St., Deer Park. A reception with the family will follow the service at The Church In The Wildwood at the corner of Highway 395 and Dahl Road, Deer Park. All are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Gideons, Hospice of Stevens County or the Clayton Historical Society.
Lauer Funeral Home, Deer Park, will be in charge of arrangements.
