Lloyd Haglund, 82

A memorial service will be held on Nov. 11, at the Phoenix (Ariz.) Christian Reformed Church for former Deer Park teacher Lloyd Haglund, 82.
Born on Aug. 12, 1929, to the late Bert and Eleanor Haglund in Warroad, Minn., he lived in various places in Minnesota until 1944 when his family moved to Spokane.
He graduated from Rogers High School in 1946 and later worked at Sears and served in the Air Force, in Fairbanks, Alaska. Mr. Haglund also did long haul trucking.
In 1962 he graduated from Eastern Washington University with a degree in education. He taught schools in Deer Park, Pasco, and St. John, Wash., and Lakeland Junior High in Rathdrum, Idaho. He administered Santiago Christian School in Santiago, Dominican Republic from 1986-92, New Life Christian School in Ephrata and Wesleyan Christian School in Bartlesville, Okla.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Haglund; a sister, Vera Ford; a nephew, Raymond Haglund; and sister-in-law Anne Clousing.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jeanette (Schipper); two children, Evan of Phoenix and Brenda (Bruce) Lund of Coppell, Texas; one sister, Luella (Gary) Weeks, Farmington, Maine; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
