Spokane County Sheriff’s and Spokane Police detectives arrested three suspects on Saturday believed to be connected to several burglaries and the trafficking of stolen property in the north Spokane and south Stevens County areas.
Arrested were 30-year-old Donald Myhren, 26-year-old Dustin Myhren and 24-year-old Katrina Soto. The older Myhren faces first-degree burglary, robbery and theft and residential burglary charges. Dustin Myhren was charged with first-degree burglary, robbery, and theft along with felony eluding, residential burglary and possession of a controlled substance charges. Soto was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Sheriff’s Investigative Task Force detectives have been conducting surveillance of the suspects who appeared to be actively committing burglaries. Detectives believe the suspects committed two confirmed burglaries and possibly four or five more. During these incidents, the suspects were observed entering locations north of Spokane and in Stevens County.
Spokane County Sheriff's detectives working with Spokane Police Department PAC Team stopped two vehicles believed involved in the burglaries. During one of the stops investigators fired at the suspect vehicle.
After a short pursuit the vehicle was eventually stopped in the area of Perry and Half Moon roads, where the suspects fled on foot but were quickly taken into custody.
“This is a great example of Spokane County detectives working with Spokane City detectives and Washington State Patrol to disrupt a large burglary ring which has endangered and affected the lives of our citizens,” said Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich.
The Critical Incident Protocol has been implemented and the Spokane Investigative Regional Response Team (SIRRT) is now investigating.
Detectives will make every effort to return located items to their rightful owners when they are able to release the property.
