Lady Stag trio earns All-GNL hoop honors

For the first time in 29 years, the Deer Park girls basketball team placed three players on the all-league team.
Named to the All-Great Northern League first team was Tessa Heins. The senior earned All-GNL honors for the second straight year. She was named to the second team last season.
Other first-teamers this season were Allie Brown of Cheney, Erin Wallman of East Valley, Emily Drake of Pullman and KC McConnell of Clarkston.
Deer Park seniors Alison Ruygok and Danielle Beltrame were named to the second team along with Alicia Christiansen of East Valley, Destinee Lake of Cheney and Jenae Martin and Aallyah Ashley-Meek, both of West Valley.
Clarkston’s Jamie Weisner was selected as the league’s most valuable player while Scott Thompson was chosen coach of the year.
