Investigation continues into Starbuck homicide

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, which has a person of interest in the Chanin Starbuck homicide investigation, continues to interview witnesses and follow up leads developed from those interviews. They are also reviewing digital evidence taken from the crime scene.
Starbuck’s body was discovered in her Deer Park home on Dec. 3 after neighbors became concerned about the accumulation of mail in front of her house.
The Spokane Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Starbuck was strangled a few days earlier.
Sheriff’s Department spokesman, Deputy Mark Gregory, said investigators are still waiting for DNA results to come back from the state crime lab.
