Harold M. Eickmeyer, 85

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Dec. 3 at Spokane Memorial Garden, S.5909 Cheney Road, for former Wild Rose Prairie resident Harold M. “Ike” Eickmeyer, 85, who passed away on Nov. 20 in Yuma, Ariz.
Born on Aug. 27, 1926, in Spokane to Martin and Helen (Proctor) Eickmeyer, he was raised on his parents' Wild Rose Prairie farm and graduated from Mead High School. He served in the Air Corps in World War II and he met his wife of 65 years, Louella (Redetske) Eickmeyer while stationed in Kansas. They operated a gas station in Great Bend, Kan., prior to moving to Spokane.
Over the years he was co-owner of one of Spokane's first television repair shops, sold real estate, and owned and operated Garage Door Service and GDS Electronics where he sold and repaired Ham radios. His call letters were W7NXN.
He is survived by his wife, Louella; two children, Tom (Catherine) Eickmeyer of Spokane and Susan (Joe) Zakar of Baltimore, Md.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
