A celebration of life will be held from 12-3 p.m. on July 9 at the Spokane Valley Eagles Lodge, E16801 Sprague, for former Springdale businessman Gary J. Cummings, 63, who passed away on June 27 in Spokane Valley.
Born on April 5, 1948, to the late Clayton and Helen Cummings in Spokane, he worked as a brakeman for Burlington Northern Railroad before opening the Country Corral restaurant in Springdale.
He is survived by two sons, Brent (Chere) Cummings of Mead and Jamie (Tami) Cummings of Springdale; two sisters, Connie Simmers and Peggy Banks; two brothers, Don (Gennie) Cummings and Richard (Barb) Cummings; and four grandchildren.
