January 7, 2014

A pair of former Deer Park residents were arrested on Monday following a stolen vehicle pursuit in Spokane.
Gary Todd, 32, and Christina Edwards, 27, face various felony charges stemming from the incident that started on the lower South Hill around 8 p.m.
Spokane Police said they spotted Todd driving away with a stolen 2013 Ford Focus on the South Hill. A short time later the car was spotted in Browne’s Addition.
According to the police report, Todd rammed a police car to make his escape. An hour later, a homeowner on the upper South Hill called police to say that two people were hiding in his laundry room. Todd and Edwards were arrested at home.
Todd faces third-degree assault on a law enforcement officer charge and a Department of Corrections escape warrant. Edwards, a passenger in the car, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and a criminal assistance warrant. Additional charges may be forthcoming.
