December 29, 2011

Spokane County Fire District No. 4 personnel work to free the driver following a one-vehicle accident on Monroe Road on Thursday morning.

Emergency crews from Spokane County Fire District No. 4 and Deer Park Ambulance spent a part of Thursday morning extricating a driver following a one-vehicle accident on Monroe Road.
The driver of the Dodge pickup, whose name was not immediately released, went off the roadway, traveled a short distance and struck a tree. When emergency crews arrived at around 11:15 a.m., they found the truck on its side.
Fire crews needed to cut off the top of the pickup to free the driver who was transported to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center.
A neighbor, who did not hear the crash, was alerted to the accident by the reaction of her horses in a nearby pasture.
