DP Rotary Club finishing up Mix Park project

June 26, 2014

The Deer Park Rotary Club has spent the past two weeks installing playground equipment at Mix Park.

The Deer Park Rotary Club with the help of volunteers has been busy assembling playground equipment at the southwest corner of Mix Park.
The club has been helped in the project by the city’s maintenance crew and Toner’s Sand and Gravel, which poured the concrete around the play area.
Scott Stevens of Deer Park Plumbing has served as the construction boss as the club assembled the equipment.
The final step in the project will occur 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday as the club seeks community volunteers to help spread the bark-like material within the play area.
A potluck luncheon will follow.
