Dorothy M. Kelley, 88

Dorothy Mae Kelley was taken home in the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ on Jan.17, 2012.
Dorothy was born to Neil and Grace Bridgman of Sunnyside Wash., on May 24, 1923 in Yakima, Wash. She was raised on her parents’ ranch in Sunnyside.
She married James W. Kelley on Aug. 5, 1944. They raised four children, Jim Kelley, of Corvallis Ore., Lynette Olsson, of Silver Spring, Md., Tim Kelley of Chattaroy and Tami Meador of Deer Park. She also had 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two more great-grandchildren on the way.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Debra; her husband, James; and her granddaughter Kerin.
Dorothy enjoyed working. She worked in the banking and agricultural businesses in Sunnyside, worked as the assistant to the city manager in Corvallis, Ore., and worked in the real estate business in Corvallis.
She also loved cooking, sewing, painting, and taking care of her family. Dorothy was a wonderful mother, friend, and a devoted Christian.
Jim and Dorothy retired and lived in Sunnyside, Albany, Ore., and the Elk and Deer Park areas of Washington. They also made trips to snowbird in Arizona.
Memorial services will be held at the Country Church of The Open Bible, located at 40015 N. Collins Road (the corner of N. Collins Road and Elk to Hwy Road) in Elk on Jan. 28 at 3 p.m.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Horizon Hospice, 123 Cascade Way, Spokane, WA 99208.
