Donald E. Lenhard, 85

A funeral service will be 1 p.m. on Nov. 17 at Lauer Funeral Home, Deer Park, with the Rev. Jerrod Williams officiating, for former longtime Deer Park resident Donald E. Lenhard, 85, who passed away on Nov. 11.
Born in 1926 in Colfax, Wash., to the late Harold and Mary Ellen Lenhard, he graduated from Deer Park High School in 1943 and later attended Gonzaga University, the University of Washington and Washington State College. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He married his wife, Barbara, in 1950 and owned and operated Meadowmere Black Angus Beef Ranch in Deer Park for many years.
After moving to Colville, he was involved in real estate sales and raised llamas with his wife.
Mr. Lenhard served on the Inland Power and Light Co. board and was a former Deer Park School Board member. He also was a member of the Inland Empire Angus Cattle and Llama associations.
A brother, Wayne P. Lenhard, predeceased him.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, at the Spokane Valley home; two sons, Gordon Lenhard of Colville and Scott Lenhard of Spokane Valley; two daughters, Karen Tripp of Spokane and JoAnn Gagnon of Waitsburg, Wash.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Interment at Woodland Cemetery, Deer Park, will precede the funeral service.
