Connie Davis, 58

March 11, 2013

Connie Davis passed away at the age of 58 on Monday, March 4, 2013 in Spokane after a valiant two-and-a-half-year fight with breast cancer.
Connie was a vivacious woman known for her good nature, keen sense of humor and sharp wit and was always ready with a quick joke or a friendly, sparkly-eyed insult followed by her trademark grin and chuckle. Throughout her courageous battle, she remained positive and inspired those around her.
Connie was born in Kellogg, Idaho. Connie graduated from Riverside High School in 1973 and then from Kinman Business School, where she trained as a dental assistant, a field she worked in for 25 years in the Tri-Cities and later in Spokane.
She loved being a dental assistant and was beloved by her patients and co-workers. She loved them right back.
In more recent years, after an early retirement, Connie kept herself busy spending time with friends and family, especially enjoying her numerous nieces and nephews and their children, whom she absolutely adored. She also enjoyed flower gardening, crafting and ceramics classes and was a big animal lover — be it finned, feathered or furred. Her "fids" meant the world to her.
Connie is survived by her daughter, Andie Davis and honorary son-in-law Axel Raven of Deer Park; along with three brothers, Dwayne Davis of Deer Park, Loren Davis of Pinehurst, Idaho, and Rory (Harolyn) Davis of Lacombe, La. She is also survived by two sisters; Edith (David) Moeller of Chattaroy and Twila Davis Reed (Jon Reed) of Triangle, Va.; three sisters-in-law, Barb Davis of Mead, Sandy Ludiker of Otis Orchards and Joan Davis of Pateros, Wash.; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Betty Davis of Chattaroy and her older brother, Rance, who passed away in 1999.
In lieu of a funeral, Connie requested that a memorial celebration be held in her honor later this summer. Friends and family will be contacted once a date is set.
