Concert, fireworks planned for the Fourth

July 3, 2013

The annual “As American As Apple Pie” concert will be held at 7 p.m. on July 4 in the parking lot of the Deer Park First Baptist Church, E1205 Crawford Ave.
The concert will feature performances from the Deer Park Orchestra and Chorus along with guest soloists James Hicks from Spokane and Eric Walsh of Spokane Valley.
The audience, who will be treated to free apple pie and ice cream before the concert, should bring their own lawn chairs and bottled water.
Following the apple pie concert, DannieLynn and Her Blue Grass Buds will stage a mini-concert to get the audience ready for the city’s fireworks show at the high school (visible from the church parking lot) at around 10 p.m.
