Cloyce E. Preedy, 87

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Nov. 11 at Foothills Community Church, N.11102 Forker Road, Spokane, for former Deer Park resident Cloyce E. Preedy, 87, who passed away on Oct. 19 in Spokane.
Born on June 18, 1924, to the late Evert and Maude Preedy, he graduated from Deer Park High School in 1942.
In 1945 Cloyce married Blanche C. Morton. They were divorced in 1954. In 1955, he married Olive A. Thomas-Davis. In July 1993 she passed away and he married Bonnie Lorraine Anderson-Neil in June 1994.
He spent 43 years on Mount Spokane and 11 years in Spokane. He was a co-owner of Preedy Bros. Tires and Automotive.
Mr. Preedy loved his woodshop and his little tractor, as well as the Spokane Indians and Harlem Globetrotters. He was a member of Foothills Community Church and Morgan Acres Community Church.
He was a volunteer firefighter for the Mount Spokane Fire Department for 22 years, a member of the Washington State Callers Association for 52 years, and a member of the Mountain Dew Boys band for 22 years.
He called 30 years for the Barnstompers and 22 years for the Whirlaways. He also played guitar for Day Out With The Blind and music ministry with Banjo Bob at nursing homes.
He was preceded in death by his wife Olive; and three children, Cloyce Jr., Charlene, and Duane.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie; four children, Jack, Beckie, Christina, and Jeri; four stepchildren, Gregory, Douglas, Lorraine, and Renea; three brothers, Ernest, Melvin, and Dale; 17 grandchildren; and13 great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be made at the service or in care of Morgan Acres Community Church, 7319 N. Regal St., Spokane, WA 99207.
