A funeral service is pending with Lauer Funeral Home, Deer Park, for Deer Park resident Charles M. Winn, 87, who passed away on Jan. 1, 2012.
Born on Dec. 25, 1924, in Nampa, Idaho, he worked as a machinist with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Bureau of Reclamation. He moved to Deer Park 15 years ago.
Mr. Winn was an accomplished woodcraftsman and artist.
A daughter, Sharon Collier of Deer Park, passed away in 2007.
He is survived by his wife, LaRae, at the Deer Park home; six children, Marcia (Norman) Hogan of Brewster, Wash., David (Cindy) Winn of Phoenix, Ariz., Judi (Steven) Hogan of Brewster, Laura (Denny) Layton of Deer Park, Dennis (Lucile) Winn of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Aaron Winn of Spokane; 16 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
