Arrest made in pawn shop burglary

November 29, 2012

Working with a store surveillance video, Spokane County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Deer Park man believed to have robbed CC’s Pawn Shop on Thanksgiving Day.
According to police reports, the pawn show was initially broken into by a pair of burglars who took a couple of thousands of dollars of merchandise.
A third burglar, believed to be Jeremiah Patterson, entered the business two hours later and stole more merchandise.
Deputies Dan Dutton and Dan Middlebos both recognized Patterson from video taken by the store’s surveillance camera.
On Nov. 27, Dutton and Middlebos contacted Patterson at the suspect’s Sixth Street residence. Patterson denied any involvement with the incident and invoked his right to an attorney.
Patterson was booked into the Spokane County Jail on the felony second-degree burglary and third-degree theft.
The Sheriff’s Department added that the investigation is on-going and additional arrests are expected.
