AHCF inmate killed in Stevens County logging accident

October 18, 2013

For the second time in a year, an inmate from the Airway Height Correctional Facility was killed while working with a Department of Natural Resources clean-up crew in Stevens County.
Daniel J. Hall, 47, was killed Thursday afternoon while helping clean up recently logged property, although details regarding the accident have not been released.
Last October, another inmate was killed in Stevens County when he was electrocuted while cutting down a tree near power lines.
Hall, who had been incarcerated since January 2011 on drugs and auto theft charges, was expected to be released next September.
