Strong fourth quarter ends Ram losing streak

January 9, 2013

The Riverside Rams finally enjoyed a little “home cookin’” on Tuesday.
The Rams, who had not played a home game in three weeks, used a strong fourth quarter to get past the Kettle Falls Bulldogs 49-41. The win, the first in five Northeast A League games, snapped the Rams’ seven-game losing streak.
Riverside, which built a 19-point lead (28-9) with 6 minutes left in the third quarter, watched as the Bulldogs staged a relentless rally in the game’s final 14 minutes.

Fast-starting Lady Rams hold off KF Bulldogs

January 9, 2013

The Riverside girls basketball team got back on the winning track with a 49-35 win over Kettle Falls on Tuesday.
The Lady Rams, who dropped two Northeast A League games last week, opened up a 11-0 lead over the Bulldogs and then held off a couple of Kettle Falls attempts to catch up.
Kettle Falls cut the lead to 14-8 by the end of the first quarter only to have Riverside go on a 10-4 run. The Lady Rams led 26-15 at halftime before the roof started to cave in on both teams, literally.
