A funeral service was held Feb. 9 at the Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park, Spokane, for Chattaroy resident Florence A. (Campbell) Cox, 91, who passed away on Feb. 3, 2012, in Spokane.
Born on Feb. 14, 1920, in Regina, Saskatchewan, to Archie Walker Campbell and Ruth Edna (Urban) Campbell, she lived in New York before moving to Spokane in 1968. She moved to Chattaroy in 1986.
She enjoyed quilting, reading, traveling, and listening to music.
Beverly L. Swanson passed away with her family by her side in her home of 50 years on Jan. 30, 2012, after a bout with pancreatic cancer.
She graduated from Deer Park High School in 1952 and always considered Deer Park her home.
She loved quilting, gardening, scrapbooking, genealogy and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mabel Waseca; and two brothers, Frank and Jimmy Waseca.
Olive Marie Lenz, 87, passed away on Jan.30, 2012. She will be missed immensely by her family and friends because she was such a great person, wonderful mother, and loving grandmother.
Olive had seven children, all living and doing well and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Olive was born on Oct. 28, 1924, in Culbertson, Mont., and was raised in Montana with her three siblings. She was an excellent student and graduated from Plains High School.
A memorial service will held at 3 p.m. on Feb. 3 at Spokane Valley United Methodist Church, N115 Raymond Road, for former Deer Park resident George R. â€śDickâ€ť Ott, 69, who passed away on Jan. 29, 2012, in Spokane.
Born in Pasco and raised in Deer Park, he graduated from Deer Park High School in 1960 and later attended Spokane Community College. He spent four years in the US Army.
Possessing a lifelong love of agriculture, he spent his entire career selling fertilizer for Inland Farmers (19 years) and later for Greenacres Gypsum (20-plus years).
A funeral service will be 1 p.m. on Feb. 3 at the Riverside Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, N34421 Newport Highway, Chattaroy, for Earnest â€śRichâ€ť Hall, 41, who passed away on Jan. 28.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; two children, Ricky and Mark; his parents, Joe and Juanita Hall; four brothers; and two sisters.
Interment will follow the service at Elk Cemetery No. 1 with Lauer Funeral Home, Deer Park, in charge of arrangements.
The family requests memorials be made in care of the Earnest Hall family at American West Bank in Mead.
A funeral service is pending with Lauer Funeral Home, Deer Park, for Deer Park resident Charles M. Winn, 87, who passed away on Jan. 1, 2012.
Born on Dec. 25, 1924, in Nampa, Idaho, he worked as a machinist with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Bureau of Reclamation. He moved to Deer Park 15 years ago.
Mr. Winn was an accomplished woodcraftsman and artist.
A daughter, Sharon Collier of Deer Park, passed away in 2007.
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held this spring for Loon Lake resident Michele D. Bourcy, 50, who passed away on Jan. 21, 2012.
Born on Sept.10, 1961, in Redondo Beach, Calif., to the late Michael and Gloria (McDougal) Mignogna, the family later relocated to the Seattle area when she was a child.
She moved to Loon Lake in 2000 and married Tommy Bourcy.
She enjoyed an 11-year career with the Coeur D'Alene Co. in Spokane as the receptionist and after as the accounts payable clerk.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on January 28 at the Church of Christ of Latter-day Saints, N34421 Newport Hwy, Chattaroy, for Deer Park resident Samuel K. Gibson, 83, who passed away on Jan. 18, 2012, in Spokane.
Mr .Gibson was born on June 1, 1928, in Kellerton, Iowa.
He is survived by two children, Boyd and Julie; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Community Cremation Service of Spokane is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial will be held at 2 p.m. on Jan. 27 at St Mark's Lutheran Church, E316 24th Ave., Spokane, for Deer Park resident Melany L. (Slechta) Box, 51, who passed away on Jan. 17, 2012.
Born on July 12, 1960, IN Ritzville to Dale D. and Marla Jo (Doerschlag) Slechta, the family lived in Sprague, Wash., until 1974 and then moved to Deer Park. She graduated from Deer Park High School in 1978 and married Douglas C. Box on May 11, 1979.
Dorothy Mae Kelley was taken home in the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ on Jan.17, 2012.
Dorothy was born to Neil and Grace Bridgman of Sunnyside Wash., on May 24, 1923 in Yakima, Wash. She was raised on her parentsâ€™ ranch in Sunnyside.
She married James W. Kelley on Aug. 5, 1944. They raised four children, Jim Kelley, of Corvallis Ore., Lynette Olsson, of Silver Spring, Md., Tim Kelley of Chattaroy and Tami Meador of Deer Park. She also had 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two more great-grandchildren on the way.
