A graveside service will be held at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Medical Lake on March 9 at 9:45 a.m. followed by an 11 a.m. memorial service at Northview Bible Church located at N13521 Mill Road, Spokane, for former longtime Deer Park teacher George L. Dye, 79, who passed away on Feb. 29, 2012.
Born in Tazewell, Va., on April 9, 1932, he traveled west to Spokane while in the Air Force. He met his wife of almost 58 years, Sharron Mackey, during this time.

A funeral service was held on March 1 at the Unity Center of North Spokane for Deer Park resident Clarence "Steve" H. Stevenson IV, who passed away on Feb. 26 in Spokane.
Born in Mason City, Iowa, and reared in Glendale, Calif., he graduated from Glendale Community College. He joined the Air Force and worked on nuclear missiles in Roswell, N.M.
He later worked for the Knudsen Co. in refrigeration conveyer systems. From there, he moved to Eureka, Calif., and owned the Blue Lake Garage, an auto mechanic and towing business.
