A memorial service was Nov. 1 at Country Church of the Open Bible in Elk for longtime Elk resident Pat Rickey Jr., 76, who passed away on Oct. 25 in Spokane.
Born on Oct. 1, 1935, to the late Patrick Sr. and Leona (Flanders) Rickey at the family home in Spokane, the family moved to Chattaroy, where he and his three sisters were raised and attended school. Following high school, he worked as a mechanic at Madren Brothers in Hillyard and then moved to the sales of Studebakers, Internationals and eventually Toyotas.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Nov. 11 at Foothills Community Church, N.11102 Forker Road, Spokane, for former Deer Park resident Cloyce E. Preedy, 87, who passed away on Oct. 19 in Spokane.
Born on June 18, 1924, to the late Evert and Maude Preedy, he graduated from Deer Park High School in 1942.
In 1945 Cloyce married Blanche C. Morton. They were divorced in 1954. In 1955, he married Olive A. Thomas-Davis. In July 1993 she passed away and he married Bonnie Lorraine Anderson-Neil in June 1994.
