Loon Lake plans levy election

March 9, 2012

The Loon Lake School District will join the Deer Park and Riverside School districts in running a maintenance and operations levy election on April 17.
Unlike the other two levy measures, the Loon Lake four-year $226,000 request was not run earlier this year.
If approved, the Loon Lake request will cost property owners 63 cents per $1,000 of assessed valuation. The generated funds will be used for various educational programs — such as music and physical education — the food service department, technology, grounds improvement and non-high payments.
