'Yes' votes gain momentum in Deer Park levy election

The Deer Park School District officials received some good news following a second round of ballot counts for its $1.96 million annual replacement maintenance and operations levy
The gap between yes and no votes shrunk on Wednesday afternoon it is still is short of the 50 percent approval needed for passage.
The measure now trails 1,615-1,559.
Riverside’s $3.27 million annual educational program was rejected 2,195-1,389 by voters as of Wednesday. The school district’s $1.28 million capital projects levy trailed 2,431-1,186.
