Detectives developing a suspect in Medicine Shoppe robberies

Spokane County Sheriff’s detectives are requesting the public’s help in identifying a male who possibly robbed The Medicine Shoppe pharmacy in Deer Park twice last month.
On Dec. 5, at approximately 4:40 p.m., a male robbed The Medicine Shoppe pharmacy at gunpoint. The suspect demanded oxycontin and displayed a silver pistol tucked in his waistband.
At approximately 4 p.m. on Dec. 30, the pharmacy was robbed again at gunpoint by a man demanding pain medication. During this incident, the suspect indicated he was armed with a gun, although no firearm was displayed.

Bi-Mart takes out license to sell hard alcohol in Deer Park

The first changes in Deer Park’s liquor retail sales market, changed abruptly with the passage of Initiative 1185 in November, were felt last week in Olympia.
The Bi-Mart Corp. on Jan. 24 applied for a change in its current liquor license at its Deer Park store at S.412 Main St. to include the sale of spirits once the initiative takes effect in June.
The corporation also applied for the same change in its liquor license for its Cheney store.
