Deer Park teen injured in car accident

A 19-year-old Deer Park man was seriously injured in a one-car rollover accident on U.S. Highway 395 near Hatch Road during the early morning hours of Nov. 8.
According to Washington State Patrol troopers, Daniel P. Cannon-Alexander fell asleep shortly before his 1987 Honda left the highway and rolled over.
Cannon-Alexander, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was taken to Providence Holy Family Hospital with a head injury, the WSP said.

DP superintendent to host school tour

Members of the Deer Park School District community are invited to visit schools throughout the school district from 8 a.m.-noon on Nov. 15 as part of the Superintendent's Community of Schools tour.
The guided bus tour will begin and end at the district office on north Main Street.
The school visits will give the public an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the facilities and observe students and staff members in their daily routines.
